GivingTuesday, a global day of generosity that will take place this year on November 29, 2022.
What is #GivingTuesday? #GivingTuesday is a global movement to celebrate giving back, whether it is your time, your talents or your donations.
We have two days for getting deals – Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On #GivingTuesday, we have an opportunity to give back. Together, people are creating a new ritual for our annual calendar, and #GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season.
It is an opportunity for people to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and help others. We have certainly been through a lot over the past few years, but there is still much to be thankful for.
Every act of generosity counts, and each means even more when we give together. #GivingTuesday includes people of all ethnicities, religions and backgrounds from around the world.
Everyone has something to give. You can share your talents, monetary donations large or small, simple acts of kindness, food or clothing. Call, visit or send a card to family or friends, sharing the gift of your time.
Do you have a few hours a week? A month? Can you volunteer your time? There are many opportunities for donating your time and talents. Just ask us!!!
Through the generosity of those donating their time, talents, gifts of food and monetary donations we have been able to keep the Food Pantry and Produce Market open for our friends and neighbors in need. We had a great summer program for our youth, have started a 60+ lunch bunch, as well as being available for free community meetings and classes.
Thanks to the overwhelming response from you, our community, we have been blessed beyond words. With your help, we will continue to give to, and celebrate our community, on #GivingTuesday and beyond, and continue our mission as well as expanding our outreach. Thanks for giving!!!
